Madeline (Maddy) Aden is a licensed master social worker with a diverse background in serving children, adolescents, and families through direct practice and policy research. Maddy graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University before working with the University of Chicago Education Lab, where she managed rigorous evaluations of social programs in schools and juvenile justice facilities. She then obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley. Maddy has worked with youth in school, social service, and community-based mental health settings. She has experience supporting families navigating the special education system, helping parents develop positive behavior management techniques, and collaborating with adolescents and parents to improve communication. She has worked with youth with a range of psychosocial concerns, including trauma, depression, intense emotions and behaviors, school avoidance, and child welfare involvement. In addition to these clinical experiences, Maddy has worked as a mentor and tutor for elementary, middle, and high school students.
